Paso Peruvian Horses - Testimonials
Several years ago, because of several back surgeries, my neurosurgeon
advised no-more horseback riding. We have raised Arabians for years and my
answer to the surgeon was found at Bellissima Farms and the beautiful
Peruvian Paso Horse. I found that a Bellissima Farms, Suzie had the
experience and skills to be able to match the horse with the rider not only
based on skill and experience but also on temperament of horse, rider and the
ability to meet the needs presented by each. The match making of horse and
rider is carefully thought out at Bellissima Farms in order to put into place the
various factors, which will allow you and your horse to become partners
in Equus.
Thanks for introducing us to the breed - they have sweet - temperaments, are
well mannered and trained to show the brio one looks for in a Peruvian Paso.
We appreciated the time and patience - assuring the right "match" of horse
and rider. We also appreciated the lack of sales pressure. We're both
pleased with our "boys" from Bellissima Farms.
I am writing you to let you know how happy my husband and I are with our
Peruvian Paso. This is our first horse and we could not have acquired a
better horse for us. She has been patient with us as we learned how to put on
her bridle and saddle. She has a beautiful gait and many a person has come
up to me and asked what kind of horse she is. I feel sorry for people that
have the bouncy non-gaited horses that leave you with a pain under your ribs.
I have ridden a couple of those and couldn't wait to get off! Thank you so
much for all your help in picking out just the right horse for us. Our family has
really enjoyed Sombre and hope to acquire another Peruvian Paso in the
near future.
Nearly four years ago, my wife and I purchased a home in Scottsdale. It just
so happened to have a small barn and arena on the property. We thought that
it might be fun to have a couple of horses, since we had the room and horse
facility on the property. We weren't sure on the breed of horse that we wanted
to purchase. We started going to various horse shows. We attended many,
and looked at Quarter horses, Arabians, and numerous other breeds. We
finally ended up going to an all gaited horse show and became intrigued with
the Peruvian Paso horse. We studied the breed and became even more
interested when we discovered the history and background on this very unique
animal. We visited a number of ranches and then called the local Peruvian
Paso club where we got the name of Bellissima Farms. We explained that
we had not ridden in a while and that we were interested in purchasing two
trail horses. I cannot begin to tell you how our paradigm has changed over
the last four years. Suzie and her staff showed us a number of beautiful
horses and within a couple of days we found two really wonderful horses.
They were strong, sound and reasonably priced. Over the last few years
we have purchased 4 additional horses from Bellissima Farms. Suzie and
her entire staff have made owning horses a pleasure. Their extensive
knowledge of the Peruvian Paso horse has been incredibly helpful. We may
have gotten a little carried away, as we now have 8 horses in the barn. But,
if you are considering becoming a first time horse owner or you are an
experienced horseperson looking for quality, than Bellissima Farms should
be on the top of the list.
Bellissima Farms is all about integrity, honesty and quality.
When Susie asked what we thought of Bellissima Farms, I asked my
14-year-old daughter Katrina to write down some of her thoughts:
- She helped us sell our horse.
- She was there for us when I lost my first horse.
- She offered for us to come to her ranch to put down our horse, she didn't even know us.
- She offered for me to come to her ranch to help.
- She wanted me to get into horses, so she got me involved in BRAVO!
- She didn't want us to get turned away from horses because of our bad
experiences. - She offered for me to go to her ranch with my horse and train both of us for
free, just so I would get to ride. - The people at her ranch were very nice to us and offered to help us and
teach us stuff. - She try's to get us involved in as much as possible.
- She's a nice person to deal with and will try to help in anyway! She also has the nicest people working for her!
Bellissima Farms is the place to look for the horse of your dreams. We
looked and talked to other breeders but Bellissima (Suzie) was the most
helpful. We told Suzie what we needed and she said if she did not have it
she would find it for us, and she did just that. True to her word we ended up
with the horse that was perfect for us. After all is said and done we now have
5 Peruvian Paso's all thru Suzie's help, one is a beautiful baby out of
Bellissima's stallion Sindical. We have a great respect for the knowledge,
caring, and help we have received from all at Bellissima Farms. Thanks for
all you do for us.
After our horse troubles, my family and I decided it was time to get another
horse. We decided that we wanted a BFII horse because I have ridden horses
that are BFII and I have ridden horses that weren't BFII. I believe there is a
huge difference in BFII horses that non-BFII horses. BFII horses are so much
kinder, smarter, behave better, are prettier, have a better gait, and are gentle
(they care about their rider). So, we went to Susie's ranch and looked at
horses. I saw this beautiful gray mare. She was the sweetest thing in the
world. She came right over to me and started to follow me and just love on
me. This gray mare turned out to be Fatima. I fell in love with her looks, and
personality. Therefore, we talked to Susie and discussed about purchasing
Fatima. Fatima had just turned three so she needed to stay at Susie's and get
trained. So far, it has been the greatest experience ever. Vilora is teaching
me how to work with young horses and is telling me everything I need to know.
I am also having time to get acquainted with Fatima. I have worked with
different trainers before and I have to say that Vilora is teaching me
unbelievable stuff that I would have never learned with the others. So far
Fatima's training is going great and she's done with her training I plan to trail
ride with her and show her. I know that Fatima and I will be great friends and
will spend a lifetime together getting to know and love each other. I know
when I get her home Fatima and I will accomplish MANY interesting things.
I am glad for having the experience to know and learn with my horse. This is a
relationship that we can build together.
