Transporting the family pet can be a real dilemma
for those who lack creative determination.
Most "human" airlines will only allow
the animal to be carried on - remain
w/ human companion thru out the flight.
Most limit # of animals per
flight - making it more & more difficult to
secure a pup over a wide geographic distance,
in accordance w/ the handlers/owners own schedule.
Varying temperature extremes endanger the little guy, along w/ potential delays in the airport or on the tarmac.
Do your homework!
*Check w/ airlines @ point of origin & destination point - rules vary according to airline, season, weather conditions,size of animal, etc.
*Determine mileage & decide on most sensible method of swift & cost-effective movement - ground or air;
*Try to orchestrate direct flights. Connecting flights can become a crazy puzzle causing the puppers to spend a terrified night in the holding area, refusing to eat or drink, watching shift changes w/ different personalities.
Also, IMPORTANT : verify & re-verify flight info - unfortunately, understand some airlines issue Locator #'s , etc. yet deny loading at airport.
Internet offers amazing list of transporters - by ground or air.
Pet Airlines catering only to furry travelers are sensible & cost-effective.
*All transporters have their own rules prior to transport: vet checks, health certificates, fecal exams, etc. - VERIFY prior to puppy drop off.

Pet Airways offer 1 hour pre-flight departure w/ check-in at special lounge. Potty breaks/regular breaks are designed to comfort, depending on length of trip. Special carriers are used, the pup is monitored every 15 minutes during flight. Potty breaks post-arrival, w/ pickup by new family within 30 minutes of landing.
Medication, 4 hour feedings, seperation from other animals, personal one-use potty facilities, & individual puppy play are also offered.

A Beechcraft 1900 is used for its impeccable record of safety & reliability. The plane - a twin-turbo prop commonly used by commercial airlines such as US Air, Continental & United for short haul flights. The cabins have been equipped to insure the safety & comfort of passengers. Pets travel in individual carriers which are secured during flight.
Like any other airline, flight info can be affected by weather or other issues, however status is available for nervous folks at either end.
The airlines flies eastbound on Tuesday & Wednesday, and westbound on Thursday & Friday. GREAT IDEA!!!!!!
